Galactic Industries Corporation, Salem NH
(1987 - 1997)
Built the dominant independent publisher of spectroscopy software. Served as
CEO and also Head of Development. Created new products with annual sales of $4
million. Managed staff of twenty-five.
White Mountain Computer, Nashua NH (1985 - 1987)
Built a regional computer store to $2 million in annual sales. Sold computers
and related equipment. Introduced house brand PC's which became the core
product. Managed staff of five sales engineers plus all other aspects of the
business including purchasing, assembly, service, advertising and
accounting.
Natural MicroSystems, Framingham MA (1983 -
1985)
Created pioneering product for voice mail and voice response on the new PC
platform. Served as Lead Engineer for application development and also VP of
OEM Marketing. Recruited management team. Helped procure venture capital.
Wrote business plan and user documentation. Worked with vendors to create
advertising, public relations and packaging materials. Managed OEM sales
force. NMS is now a billion-dollar public company.
Biorad, Digilab Division, Cambridge MA (1977 - 1981)
Served as Manager of Software Development and Software Engineer. Created new
generation of chromatography/spectroscopy software with instrument control,
high-speed micro-coded array processor and innovative animated plotting on-time
with significant sales impact.

Awarded First Year Honors. Second year concentration was in marketing.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (S.B. 1979)
Studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Also attended UCLA for
first year. Achieved a perfect 4.0/4.0 grade-point average at both schools.
